Technical Issue at 'Eleftherios Venizelos' Airport: Flight Delays

Significant flight delays are occurring at Athens International Airport 'Eleftherios Venizelos' and other Greek airports due to a technical issue with radio communications in the Athens FIR.
The problem is located in the central radio frequency systems of the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority (HCAA), making communication between pilots and air traffic control impossible. This has led to grounded aircraft and flight postponements.
Airlines are trying to reschedule flights, but departures from Greek airports are currently impossible. Passengers are advised to contact airlines for updates.
The HCAA is in contact with telecommunications partners to restore the system.
