Spitogatos: Rent Increases for Student Housing

Significant increases are recorded in rental prices for student housing, especially in Thessaloniki, according to a survey by Spitogatos Insights.

Following the announcement of university entrance exam scores, the demand for student housing has increased, leading to a 7.4% rise in rental prices across Greece in the second quarter of 2025.

In Attica, the average asking rental price increased by 5.4%. In Thessaloniki, the increases are even greater.

Students are looking for housing with specific criteria, such as floor, furniture, number of bedrooms, energy class and air conditioning.

The highest prices in Athens are observed in areas such as Mets-Kallimarmaro, Koukaki-Makrygianni and Kolonaki-Lykavittos.
