Record Orders for New Ships from Greek Shipowners

Greek shipowners are setting a record for new ship orders, investing in newly built, energy-efficient, and environmentally friendly vessels. These investments meet the strictest international environmental requirements.

According to the Greek Shipping Cooperation Committee (GSCC), Greeks have 422 ships on order with a total capacity of 40,212,290 DWT and 25,258,008 GT. Specifically, in March and early April, shipowners proceeded with orders, deliveries of new and second-hand ships, as well as financing agreements.
