The Minister of National Economy and Finance, Kyriakos Pierrakakis, outlined a new sustainable development model for Greece after the Recovery Fund, focusing on private investments, reforms, and fiscal stability.

Mr. Pierrakakis emphasized the need to enhance competitiveness through private investments, digital and energy transformation, as well as convergence with the European average in per capita GDP.

Regarding housing, he mentioned the upcoming call for tenders for the Agency for the Acquisition and Re-lease of Real Estate, which aims to protect the primary residence of vulnerable debtors. The goal is for the agency to be fully operational within the first half of 2026.

Regarding 2026, the minister stated that the government will take measures to ensure social cohesion and developmental dynamics, while maintaining fiscal balance.
