Piraeus Among Top 5 European Ports – Rotterdam Leads

Intense competition prevails among European ports, with the port of Piraeus maintaining its fifth position. Rotterdam leads the ranking.

In the first half of 2025, the port of Piraeus recorded a 4.9% increase, handling 2.45 million TEU. Piers II and III, managed by Cosco Shipping Ports, handled 2.054 million TEU.

The port of Rotterdam regained the top spot with 7 million TEU (+2.7%). Antwerp-Bruges maintained second place with 6.91 million TEU (+3.7%), while Hamburg is in third place.
