The average full-time salary in the private sector exceeded €1,500 in 2025, according to the annual report of the ERGANI system. Specifically, it reached €1,516, compared to €1,478 in 2024.

The report also shows that 280,000 employees moved to salary brackets above €1,000 compared to 2024. The share of full-time employment rose to 78.5%, 2.1 percentage points higher.

Almost two out of three private sector employees (63.5%), i.e. 1.56 million people, are now paid more than €1,000 per month, compared to 2019 when the corresponding percentage was 36.3% and corresponded to 720,000 employees.

This means that in a period of six years, private sector employees with salaries above €1,000 have more than doubled, despite the impact of the pandemic.
