IOBE: 13-Month High in Economic Sentiment for July

Greece's economic sentiment index reached a 13-month high in July, reaching 109.1 points, according to a survey by IOBE. The improvement is mainly due to increased expectations in industry and services, particularly in the hotels and restaurants sector.
In contrast, consumer confidence and retail trade showed a decrease. Consumers appear more pessimistic about their financial situation in the coming months.
In industry, estimates for orders and demand improved, while in construction there was a slight correction in estimates for the work program. In retail trade, estimates for current sales declined, while in services, estimates for the current state of businesses strengthened.
