Heating Allowance: Next Payment Date and Schedule

The second installment of the heating allowance will be paid in 2026, covering fuels, natural gas, and district heating. The amount can reach up to 1,200 euros, supporting over 1.2 million households.

Already, more than 1.1 million citizens have received the first installment, with total credits exceeding 124 million euros for electricity, oil, and other fuels. This amount corresponds to 60% of the total allowance for the winter of 2024-2025.

The second installment for 2026 will be paid in late May or July, depending on the type of energy. For purchases of fuels, pellets, or firewood up to April 15, 2026, the payment will be completed by May 29, 2026. For natural gas and district heating, payment is expected by July 31, 2026.

The total budget of 195 million euros is expected to provide financial relief to Greek households. The allowance ranges from 100 to 800 euros, but can reach 1,200 euros for areas with low temperatures.
