Greece: Farmers Prepare for Dynamic Return to Roadblocks

In Greece, farmers will decide tomorrow on the next steps of their mobilizations.

A nationwide meeting of farmers is scheduled in Malgara, where the final decisions will be made. The majority at the roadblocks state they are determined to escalate the struggle.

The farmers report that they have not seen any substantial steps from the government to resolve their demands, in order to come to a dialogue.

The possibility of descending with tractors to Athens, as well as the general closure of roads, is being considered at the meeting.

Today, a general assembly is being held at the Nikaia roadblock to decide on the position of the farmers at the nationwide meeting. The farmers of Nikaia emphasize that they are in favor of dialogue under specific conditions.

The government is awaiting the decisions of the farmers and is considering all possibilities for dealing with the mobilizations.
