Greek Tax Authority to Launch Real-Time Digital Audit Tool

The Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) is preparing to launch a new digital tool that will enable real-time audits of discrepancies in turnover and receipts of businesses.

The new system will replace e-send, adding immediate analysis and data comparison. When a business shows a large drop in transactions, the system will automatically activate the audit mechanism.

This tool is part of the AADE's plan for 72,000 audits in 2026, with emphasis on on-site audits, high-crime sectors, and businesses with suspicious patterns.
