Share on:

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is completing its presence in Greece after ten years, having invested over €8.6 billion in 120 projects. Charlotte Ruhe, Managing Director of the EBRD for Southeast Europe, described the collaboration with Greece to newmoney.gr, emphasizing the transition from a 'crisis management relationship' to a 'mature partnership'.

The EBRD entered Greece in 2015 during a period of economic crisis, with the aim of strengthening the private sector and supporting sustainable development models. Its departure marks the recovery of the Greek economy. Ms. Ruhe referred to the challenges that remain and the impact of the simultaneous end of the EBRD's presence and the Recovery and Resilience Fund.
