E65 Highway: 93% Progress on Northern Section, Completion Soon

Construction of the Northern Section of the E65 Central Greece Highway is underway, with progress reaching 93%. According to statements by the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Christos Dimas, the project is expected to be completed in the coming months.

Mr. Dimas, accompanied by the General Secretary of Infrastructure Dimitris Anagnostopoulos, inspected the construction site, traversing the 46 kilometers of the section under construction from the Grevena junction to the Kalambaka junction.

The Northern Section of the E65 is funded by the Recovery and Resilience Fund with €452 million. Upon completion, the E65 will connect the PATHE with the Egnatia Odos, enhancing road safety and interregional connectivity.

The inspection was also attended by MP Athanasios Stavropoulos, Regional Governors Giorgos Amanatidis and Alexandros Kahrimanis, and Mayors Kyriakos Tataridis and Dimitrios Kottas.

The E65 has a total length of 181 km and is part of the Trans-European Transport Network.
