Municipalities Prepare for Unified Accounting Framework

The Regional Union of Municipalities of Greece (PEDA) organized an informative conference regarding the implementation of the Unified Accounting Framework in municipalities. The aim of the conference was to enhance transparency and efficiency in the financial management of municipalities.

The President of PEDA and Mayor of Galatsi, Giorgos Markopoulos, emphasized the importance of supporting municipalities during the transition to the new framework. Panagiotis Grigorakos, President of PE Gen. Secretaries T.A. "Klisthenis", highlighted the importance of the reform for the daily operation of municipalities. Professor Panagiotis Liargkovas suggested the creation of a national observatory for the evaluation of local authorities.

The conference was coordinated by the Director of PEDA, Elina Makrynori.
