Corruption Index 2025: Greece Improves its Ranking

Greece has improved its position in the Corruption Perception Index for 2025, scoring 50 out of 100 points and ranking 56th among 182 countries. This is an improvement compared to 2023 and 2024, when Greece scored 49 points.
According to the Transparency International report, 29% of the population believes that corruption has increased in the last 12 months. In addition, 9% of those who interacted with public services in 2025 attempted to bribe officials to facilitate their cases.
The report points out that corruption scandals involving public resources, such as the large-scale agricultural fraud and money laundering case, are frequent in Greece, highlighting the need to strengthen safeguards.
Denmark, Finland, and Singapore top the index.
