4.8 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Crete

An earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale struck west of Crete at 00:33 early Sunday morning, according to the Geodynamic Institute of the National Observatory of Athens.

The epicenter of the earthquake is located 56 kilometers west of Palaiochora, Chania, with a focal depth of approximately 29 kilometers.
