New visitor service centers near the Acropolis

The Ministry of Culture is proceeding with the creation of two new visitor service centers near the Acropolis, aiming to upgrade the visitor experience and meet the operational needs of the archaeological site.

The two properties, at Areopagitou Street 18-20 and Vyronos Street 20, will be functionally connected. The project includes the creation of spaces with lockers, educational areas and modern infrastructure.

The Minister of Culture, Lina Mendoni, stated that the building on Dionysiou Areopagitou Street 18-20 was originally intended to function as a visitor information center. The upgrade and connection with the property on Vyronos Street 20 will enhance the services provided and improve the visitor experience.

The design includes the creation of a cloakroom with lockers, additional sanitary facilities and a multipurpose space with an educational character. A multipurpose area with an educational and cultural character will be created in the outdoor area.
