Athens Muslims Celebrate End of Ramadan

Hundreds of Muslims in Athens celebrated the end of Ramadan on Friday, March 20th, with the "Feast of Breaking the Fast" at the Islamic Mosque of Athens on Iera Odos.

The confirmation of the appearance of the new moon (Hilal) took place at the Observatory in Thissio, giving the signal for the celebrations. The holiday marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan and lasts three days.
