A new Focus Bari survey reveals the trends of Greeks for summer vacations. One in four Greeks will not go on vacation, while over 40% will stay in their village or at friends' homes.

The survey shows that 60% of Greeks are limited to a one-week vacation. 12% will simply take a short 2-3 day trip, while 48% will take a 4-7 day vacation. High prices are the main disadvantage for 70% of respondents.

According to Eurostat, 46% of Greeks over 16 cannot afford even one week of vacation away from home. 24% cannot spend more than 200 euros on vacation, while 37% will spend from 200 to 500 euros.

While most dream of vacations on an island or coastal town, many end up in their country house (21%) or as guests (21%). On average, Greeks will take a 9-day vacation, spending 50 euros per day.

The economic price and clean beaches are the most important factors for choosing a destination. 46% of travelers are over 55, working without minor children.
