Ios Island Highlighted as Summer 'Surprise' by International Media

Ios is being highlighted as the pleasant surprise of 2025 by international media outlets, according to reports focusing on its contrasts and diverse 'faces'. The Municipality of Ios is promoting new travel experiences, with Ios being described as the most refined Greek destination of the year by the British Times, which includes it in the 15 best islands in Greece.

The Express newspaper reports that Ios combines the positives of Mykonos and Santorini, boasting beaches, vibrant entertainment, ancient monuments, cultural museums, and restaurants. The Tomb of Homer and the prehistoric settlement of Skarkos are also noted.

Vagabond mentions that Ios is among the destinations reviving the authentic Cyclades, with 32 kilometers of coastline and sandy beaches. Antonis Mettos, president of the Tourism Committee of the Municipality of Ios, emphasized the island's alternating contrasts, the Gaiti – Simosi museum, gastronomy, and tourist services.
