Fire at Panos Ioannidis' Ovio Restaurant in Syntagma

A fire broke out at chef Panos Ioannidis' Italian restaurant, Ovio, located in the Syntagma area of Athens, on Saturday morning. According to initial reports, the fire started in the kitchen and spread to the extractor fan, causing damage.

12 firefighters with 4 vehicles rushed to the scene and managed to extinguish the fire. Fortunately, there were no injuries. However, the restaurant will remain closed on Saturday for repairs.

Ovio is a popular gastronomic destination in Athens, known for its Italian cuisine with Mediterranean influences. The restaurant is included in the Michelin Guide.
