Free Carnival and Clean Monday Events in Athens and Piraeus

Free Carnival and Clean Monday events are being organized in various municipalities in Greece. Many events will take place in Athens and Piraeus.

Municipality of Athens: On Sunday, a carnival parade will take place with carnivalists, dancing and music, starting with the Athens Municipality Philharmonic Orchestra. The parade will end at Kotzia Square. On Clean Monday, from 11:00, a musical walk will take place on Philopappos Hill, followed by the "Koulouma" celebration with an island feast and Lenten delicacies.

Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center: The SNFCC hosts a rich program of events. On Sunday, there will be an open salsa lesson, face painting, and Cuban workshops for children. On Clean Monday, the musical performance "Heaven & Earth 'Panigiri'" with Vasiliki Karakosta, an art action for children with kites, and a creative silkscreen workshop will take place. Lenten treats will be offered.

Freattyda Beach, Piraeus: On Clean Monday, at 12:00, there will be a feast with live music by Vangelis Konitopoulos, Lenten delicacies, and kite flying.
