Chania: Drunk Driver Crashes into Rental Property Yard

A 42-year-old man was arrested in Chania after causing a traffic accident under the influence of alcohol. According to zarpanews.gr, the incident occurred at 00:30 when the driver, traveling in the Kolymbari area, lost control of his vehicle and entered the yard of a tourist accommodation.

The vehicle crashed into a farm truck, causing material damage. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The driver is said to have consumed an amount of alcohol exceeding the permitted limit and is expected to be brought before the Prosecutor.

Police announced the arrest of the 42-year-old for dangerous driving and damage to property. A preliminary investigation is being conducted by the Platanias Police Department.
