Chania: Drunk Driver Hits Tables on Pedestrian Street

Shock in Chania as a drunk driver drove onto a pedestrian street in the Koum Kapi area, hitting tables and chairs. The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon on Miaouli coast.

According to witnesses, the car also hit a baby stroller, which was fortunately empty. Patrons of the cafes, shaken, tried to stop the vehicle.

Police arrested the 39-year-old driver, who tested positive for alcohol. Luckily, there were no injuries.
