The 28-year-old accused of murdering a 47-year-old woman in Chalandri has been remanded in custody following his testimony. With the agreement of the investigator and prosecutor, the 28-year-old is being sent to prison.

According to reports, the perpetrator denied committing the murder in a calm state of mind, claiming he was in a state of shock and did not know what he was doing. "Immediately after, I regretted it, but it was too late," he reportedly said.

His defense has submitted a request for a psychiatric evaluation. The accused reportedly claimed that he did not intend to attack the woman, but wanted to talk. He claimed that the two knives found in his possession were there because he was "afraid."

During the preliminary investigation, the 28-year-old stated that "we hadn't spoken at all in recent months. I learned that she had accused me to my friends, and that's why they weren't answering my calls. I went to see her because I wanted to know what she had told them."
