Vorizia: Authorities Close to Identifying Mastermind and Bomb Maker

Authorities are close to identifying the mastermind and the bomb maker behind the Vorizia massacre, while investigations continue to locate the weapons.

According to Mega, police have identified the perpetrator who placed the explosive device at the Fragiadakis family's home, who appears to be a member of the Kargakis family.

As part of the investigation, three members of the Kargakis family, prisoners for livestock theft in Alikarnassos prison, are being examined at the Heraklion police headquarters. At the same time, investigations continue to locate the weapons used in the murders.

The press representative of the Hellenic Police, Konstantia Dimoglidou, stated on ERTnews that there are testimonies that help in the development of the case.

The police presence in the area has been strengthened, with the arrival of an additional 100 officers from the Organized Crime Unit.

The son-in-law of the 39-year-old victim denies any involvement in the massacre.
