Volos: 28-Year-Old Arrested for Scamming Elderly Woman

A 28-year-old man has been arrested in Volos, accused of scamming an elderly woman. According to the police, the 28-year-old pretended to be an accountant and persuaded the elderly woman to hand over 21 gold sovereigns and a gold ring, under the pretext of declaring them to the tax authorities.

The perpetrator was arrested and the stolen items were returned to the elderly woman. The 28-year-old was led to the Prosecutor of First Instance of Volos.

The case is being investigated by the Volos Sub-Directorate of Crime Prosecution and Investigation.
