Fatal Car Accident in Markopoulo: 23-Year-Old Dead

A tragic car accident occurred early Friday morning (2/1) in Markopoulo, resulting in the death of a 23-year-old.

According to initial reports, the car driven by the 23-year-old veered off course on Markopoulou Avenue, crashed into a concrete wall, and overturned, near the Municipal Stadium.

Five firefighters extracted the 23-year-old unconscious. He was transported to the Markopoulo Health Center and then to Georgios Gennimatas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The Deputy Mayor of Markopoulo, Giannis Aidinotis, expressed his grief over the tragic event.
