16-Year-Old Injured in Acheron Landslide

A 16-year-old girl was injured in the Acheron River when a rock fell on her due to a landslide. The incident occurred while the teenager was crossing the gorge with her family.
The 16-year-old suffered a fractured femur and underwent surgery in a hospital in Thessaloniki, where she was transferred at the family's request. Her mother was slightly injured by smaller pieces of rock.
The mayor of Souli, Thanasis Ntanis, stated that this is the second incident in a month and stressed the need to examine measures for safety in the area.
