Tourist Drives Off Cliff in Kalamata, Greece

A tourist drove a pickup truck off a 9-meter cliff onto a beach in Kalamata, Greece, causing a stir. The accident occurred on Santova beach, near Kalamata, when the vehicle veered off course.

The incident happened shortly before 10:00 am. The foreign tourist was driving the pickup truck, which, under unclear circumstances, fell from a cliff about nine meters high. The vehicle ended up on Santova beach, away from the beach bars.

The noise of the impact caused a stir, as there were young children on the beach. The driver managed to free himself and was taken by EKAV ambulance to Kalamata Hospital, where he is being treated out of danger with minor injuries. Police are investigating the causes of the accident.
