Thessaloniki: 49-Year-Old Arrested on European Arrest Warrant

A 49-year-old foreign national was arrested at Thessaloniki's 'Macedonia' Airport following a coordinated operation by authorities. He was wanted on a European Arrest Warrant issued by Croatian authorities.

The warrant relates to an offense allegedly committed by the arrested man in December 2013. Following the arrest, the 49-year-old was transferred to the competent judicial authorities, who will decide on his extradition to Croatia.

The European Arrest Warrant facilitates the surrender of individuals who have committed crimes in other EU member states.
