Thessaloniki: Prison for 33-year-old for drug trafficking

A 33-year-old prison guard at Diavata Prison in Thessaloniki has been imprisoned after his apology to the investigator. He faces charges of aggravated drug trafficking, disobedience, and breach of duty.

According to reports, the employee denied the charges. His arrest followed an investigation by the Internal Affairs Division of the Hellenic Police, during which suspicious conversations with prisoners were found.

As part of the same investigation, a private individual was also arrested, who was released on bail with restrictive conditions after his apology.
