Thessaloniki: Father Attacks 62-Year-Old After Trial Postponement

An incident of violence occurred outside the Thessaloniki courthouse when a father attacked a 62-year-old man after the postponement of a trial related to a traffic accident.

According to emakedonia.gr, the incident took place last Wednesday, following the postponement of the trial at the D’ One-Member Misdemeanor Court regarding a 2022 incident where a minor was hit by a car on Papanastasiou Street. The minor's father allegedly attacked the 62-year-old outside the courthouse.

According to the 62-year-old, the child's family had requested financial compensation out of court, a request he refused, which led to the attack. A police officer and a court employee were needed to stop the beating.
