Thessaloniki: Motorcyclist Ignores Signal and Drives on Pedestrian Street

A 22-year-old was arrested in Thessaloniki early Thursday morning after running a red light and attempting to evade police.

According to police, the young driver ignored a signal to stop on Karolos Ntil Street and sped off, making dangerous maneuvers. He also drove onto the Agia Sofia pedestrian street in an attempt to escape.

The 22-year-old was arrested and faces charges of dangerous driving and failure to comply with a police signal. He is expected to be brought before the Prosecutor.
