46-Year-Old Arrested in Neo Faliro on European Arrest Warrant

A 46-year-old foreign national was arrested in Neo Faliro by officers of the Sub-Directorate for the Prosecution of Crimes Against Life and Property of the DAOE, as a European arrest warrant issued by the French authorities was pending against him.

The warrant concerns his involvement in a criminal organization that committed thefts of GPS devices and depth sounders from luxury boats on the coasts of France, gaining hundreds of thousands of euros. Investigations began in 2022 and led to arrests in France. The involvement of the 46-year-old emerged after an investigation by the Property Crimes Department.

The arrested man was led to the competent prosecutor's office.
