Gang Arrested for Phone Scams in Nea Filadelfeia, Zografou, and Kifissia

Four individuals (aged 19, 22, 25, and 30) have been arrested for phone scams in the Nea Filadelfeia area. The perpetrators posed as employees of an electricity company and attempted to extort money from citizens.

According to the police, the gang members had formed a criminal group since September 2025, with the aim of committing fraud and obtaining illegal financial gain. They used a company car, rented from car rental companies, and called citizens posing as employees of an electricity company.

In one instance, the perpetrators threatened a victim with a knife. During searches of the perpetrators' homes, a hat, telephones, fake documents, watches, and jewelry were found and confiscated.

Six cases of fraud in Nea Filadelfeia, Zografou, and Kifissia have been solved. The arrested individuals were led to the competent prosecutor's office.
