Burglars Arrested in Vyronas: Posed as Electricity Company Employees

Police arrested two men in Vyronas on the evening of February 25, 2026, for burglaries. The perpetrators posed as electricity company employees to gain access to homes.
Officers from the DI.AS. team located the two men, aged 34 and 37, as they attempted to flee a house in Vyronas. During their arrest, the perpetrators discarded jewelry and valuables in the building's common areas.
According to the Hellenic Police (EL.AS.), the perpetrators had been operating since at least May 2025, posing as employees of an electricity supply company. In this way, they gained access to the homes of elderly people, from which they removed jewelry and valuables, which they then resold.
Socks were found in their possession, which they used to avoid leaving fingerprints, as well as a special card for access to unsecured homes.
As part of the investigation, four more burglary cases were solved in the center of Athens, Nea Ionia, and Nea Smyrni.
