Migrant Smuggler Arrested in Orestiada

A migrant smuggler was arrested in Orestiada for illegally transporting 8 people into Greece. The arrest was made by police officers, and the vehicle and mobile phones were confiscated.

The perpetrator was found driving a private car on the Ormenio – Ardanio National Road, illegally transporting the migrants. The detainees will be brought before the Prosecutor of the Court of First Instance of Orestiada. The preliminary investigation is being conducted by the Didymoteicho Border Guard Department.
