41-Year-Old Prison Escapee Arrested in Athens

In Athens, police officers from the Search Department of the Attica Crimes Prosecution and Investigation Directorate arrested a 41-year-old escapee from Larissa prison on August 7.

According to the Hellenic Police (ELAS), the 41-year-old escaped from Larissa hospital on November 17, 2022, where he had been transferred for treatment from the prison.

The 41-year-old was serving a sentence of 21 years and 11 months for forming a gang, serial robbery in complicity, aggravated theft repeatedly and in complicity. Furthermore, an arrest warrant was pending against him to serve the remainder of a sentence imposed for attempted theft.

The arrested individual was led to the competent prosecutor.
