Arrest in 92-Year-Old's Murder Case in Exarcheia

A 38-year-old woman has been arrested as an accomplice in the brutal murder of a 92-year-old man that occurred in August 2017 in Exarcheia. The arrest was made by officers of the Homicide Department.

The 38-year-old is accused of collaborating with the 33-year-old domestic helper, who has already been arrested and is considered the main suspect in the case. The investigation of the case began after a complaint from the 33-year-old's employer, who reported that she had stolen gold bars from him.

Following an investigation and DNA analysis, the 33-year-old's involvement in the murder of the 92-year-old was proven. The 92-year-old was found dead in his bedroom, tied up with a cloth belt. Pillows and other fabrics were found on his head, and a knife was found near the body.
