Greek-Owned Vessel Found with Cocaine in Atlantic – Arrests Made

A Greek-owned vessel was discovered in the Atlantic Ocean transporting a large quantity of cocaine. Five individuals have been arrested as part of an international investigation, with more arrests expected.
The vessel, based in Nea Michaniona, had departed from Latin America en route to Europe. Arrests were made in Katerini, Thiva, and Athens. Among those arrested is a well-known cocaine 'baron,' believed to be the leader of the criminal organization. This individual has been previously arrested and convicted.
The vessel is being towed by the French Navy to a port where the cocaine will be counted. Following the completion of the procedures, the detainees will be transferred to Greece.
