Serres: 26-Year-Old Arrested for Electricity and Fuel Theft

A 26-year-old was arrested in Serres for tampering with an electricity meter and stealing 500 liters of fuel. The arrest was made by police officers from the Emmanouil Pappa police department.

The meter tampering was discovered during a search of his home, with the assistance of DEDDIE. Furthermore, it was revealed that from October to January, the 26-year-old committed five burglaries in homes in the Serres area, stealing power tools and other items, in addition to the fuel.

Part of the stolen goods were found in his possession and returned to the owner. Also, a hunting rifle was confiscated, which had been reported stolen in 2023.
