Serres: Mother of Angelos Denounces Murder

The mother of Angelos, the young man who lost his life in Serres after a beating, has appealed to anyone who knows anything to speak up, claiming that the children are afraid. A 15-year-old has been remanded in custody in connection with the case.
Mrs. Giannoula, speaking to STAR, stated that Angelos "was not made of paper to succumb to 10 kicks" and that he "was martyred like Christ." She also denounced that Angelos was knelt in front of the central church of Serres and beaten.
The victim's sister denounced the existence of a "gang of thugs" in Serres, calling it "dangerous." She asked the authorities to take responsibility and punish those responsible.
Angelos' mother called on other mothers to support their children and help them speak out so that fear can be stopped.
