Serres: Body Found on Mount Belles – Identity Investigation Underway

A man's body was found on Mount Belles, near the P8 machine gun nest of Dimitrios Itsiou, in Serres. A local farmer discovered the body, and authorities are conducting an investigation to identify it.

Police officers from the Criminal Investigation Department of the Serres Police Directorate and a coroner are at the scene. It is being examined whether the body belongs to 45-year-old Konstantinos Ginis, commander of the fire station in Poroia, who has been missing since December 23. Ginis disappeared driving his mother's car, without his mobile phone or other personal belongings. His disappearance was reported the following day.
