Rhodes: Homeless Man Receives Money After Fountain Incident

A homeless man who fell into a fountain in Rhodes' Old Town testified that he received money as compensation for the incident. According to his statement to Rodiaki, Andreas was collecting coins from the fountain when a young man pushed him.
He claims that a person who introduced himself as a police officer gave him 160 euros as compensation for the young man's act, whom he described as a "foreigner." Authorities are conducting a preliminary investigation following a prosecutor's order, as no complaint had been filed.
The incident occurred on June 21, and the video was published on June 22. The alleged perpetrator is of Polish origin and has no prior involvement with the authorities.
