Rhodes: 3-year-old girl in critical condition after falling into a pool

A 3-year-old girl is hospitalized in critical condition at the General Hospital of Rhodes after falling into a hotel pool in the Lardos area.

The child, of British origin, was found unconscious at the bottom of the pool and was taken to the hospital with symptoms of water poisoning. According to dimokratiki.gr, a British doctor provided first aid.

The Deputy Governor of the hospital, Michalis Sokorelos, stated that the results of the CT scan are awaited to determine if an air ambulance to Athens is required.

The incident comes a few days after the death of a 6-year-old boy in a hotel pool in Santorini, raising concerns about the safety of children in tourist accommodation pools.
