28-year-old Remanded in Custody for Halandri Murder

The 28-year-old man accused of murdering a 47-year-old woman in Halandri has been remanded in custody. The accused claimed in his testimony that he was in a state of "amok" and did not know what he was doing.
According to reports, the 28-year-old claimed he was afraid and that is why he had knives with him. He also claimed that the 47-year-old had slandered him to all his acquaintances, even the priest at the soup kitchen where they met. The murder took place on August 18 at the entrance of an apartment building on Stratigou Roumpesi Street in Halandri.
According to the Hellenic Police (EL.AS.), in March 2025, the 47-year-old had reported to the police that the 28-year-old was bothering her. The 28-year-old had been advised not to approach her.
The 28-year-old's lawyer has requested a psychiatric evaluation.
