Arrests and Remand for Arsonists in Feneos and Athens

Two men arrested for causing a fire in the Feneos region of Corinth, as well as a man for setting fire to vehicles and bins in Athens, have been ordered to be held in custody.
The two men in Feneos, during work with electric welding, caused a fire that burned over 11,000 acres of forest. They were arrested on July 22, 2025, and fined 11,812 euros. The charge was upgraded to a felony, and today it was decided to remand them in custody.
On July 21, 2025, a foreign national was arrested in Athens for causing eight fires in vehicles and garbage bins. Today, it was also decided to remand him in custody.
