Pieria: Trial Begins for 34-Year-Old Who Killed Partner

The trial has begun in Edessa for the 34-year-old woman accused of murdering her 58-year-old partner in Leptokarya, Pieria. The defendant confessed to killing and burying her partner in their backyard in September 2024.

According to her testimony, after an argument, the 58-year-old stumbled and was fatally injured. The 34-year-old claimed she panicked and decided to dispose of the body, burying it in the yard. The trial began with testimonies from the victim's relatives.

For five months, the 34-year-old pretended to be searching for her partner, even giving interviews on television shows. She finally confessed to the crime on February 6, 2025.

The defendant and her mother claimed that the victim was involved in drug trafficking and that arguments were frequent. The 34-year-old is accused of intentional homicide, committed in a calm state of mind.
