An elderly man in a village in Pella was the victim of a scam, losing cash and jewelry worth €100,000. The perpetrators posed as accountants and persuaded him to hand over the money and valuables to an unknown man.

According to the report, the incident occurred on Sunday afternoon when an unknown person contacted the 77-year-old, posing as an accountant. Gaining his trust, he convinced him that he needed to record the money and gold jewelry. He then persuaded him to hand them over to an accomplice who appeared outside his home.

The perpetrators stole a total of €10,200 in cash and valuables worth €100,000. The elderly man reported the fraud to the police on Monday. A case file has been opened against unknown persons and the perpetrators are being sought.
