Patras: Fatal Car Crash Leaves Two Dead – Driver Drove Wrong Way for 1 km

A tragic car accident occurred on the Olympia Odos highway in Panagopoula, Patras, resulting in the death of two people and serious injuries to one.

According to reports, a 70-year-old driver was driving in the wrong direction for about one kilometer on the Patras-bound lane when she collided with another vehicle. The collision was severe, causing the 70-year-old's vehicle to burst into flames, and she was burned to death.

The two men in the second vehicle were injured and taken to the hospital, where one succumbed to his injuries.

The circumstances of the accident are under investigation, with initial indications suggesting that the driver entered the Olympia Odos highway from the Selianitika junction and then became disoriented.
